Minor shelfwear to extremities, edges bumped. A complete, two volume set of this first edition illustrated biography on, William Morris. Two volumes. First edition. Volume one is, illustrated with frontispiece and eleven plates. Volume two is, illustrated with frontispiece and nine plates. Collated, complete. The life of William Morris, a British textile, designer, poet, artist, writer, architectural conservationist,, printer, translator, and socialist activist associated with the, British Arts and Crafts Movement. Written by John William, Mackail, a Scottish academic of Oxford University and reformer, of the British education system known for this biography as, well as his work on Virgil. From the library of Doctor Malcolm, Higgs, an important architectural historian who worked as an, assistant architect to Stirling & Gowan, working on their, particularly renowned Leicester University Engineering, Laboratory.
