    The protoboard arrived in fantastic packaging ... and ft shipping.     Well made, well supported excellent product.

    THIS thing is WELL MADE. The one and only thing I would like -- and it's minor -- is if the digital temp and speed displays displayed both setpoint and measured temp/rpm simultaneously. In fact I think Fishersci has a model that does this very thing, but really. I just don't mind one bit. :-) The hotplate tracks its own temp with excellent accuracy. I've tested carefully with a digital thermometer, and measurements came out within 5°C even at the high end. The whole unit is obviously of robust cast metal construction. Powder coated apparently. Which withstands its very high heat capability without show the slightest effect. Because of a bad bearing in the stirrer motor, I had occasion to take the bottom cover off one of these. The internals are as meticulously made as the external. ...
