Seamless multi-monitor performance and high-speed connectivity
The Plugable USB-C Dual Monitor Docking Station (4K HDMI, 100W) has been an excellent addition to my setup. I am using two of these docking stations with a Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge (ARM-based laptop) running Windows 11 Pro, and they perform flawlessly. My configuration includes connecting three external monitors, 2 x 4k + 1 x 1440p (with the laptop screen totaling four displays, which is the GPU limit), and everything works seamlessly. Key highlights of my experience include: *Dual USB4 at 40 Gbps: Both devices link using USB4 at full speed, ensuring smooth performance across all connected peripherals. *Monitor Support: The docking stations handle multiple monitors effortlessly, with no issues even when streaming 4K video on YouTube in full screen. *Realtek 2.5 Gbps Ethernet: The built-in Realtek 2.5 Gbps Ethernet adapters are detected and work perfectly, providing reliable high-speed network connectivity. *Compatibility: Despite some reported limitations with ARM-based laptops (as noted by Plugable support for certain Surface models), I have not encountered any such issues.
