Worked well on my older Igloo cooler
I ordered these for my older Igloo cooler. They worked fine with the original posts and mounting location, although the kit came with new posts. The only thing I had to do to get them to work/look correct was to put a couple of spacers (washers) behind the latch so they were vertically aligned when closed. Other than that they bolted right up to the original screw locations. These are a nice upgrade from the original plastic latches.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good quality latch

Original all plastic white latch replaced
Bought this latch to replace the original all plastic white latch for a Max Cold Igloo, this new stainless steel hinge and outer stainless steel body should last for years, the snap side of this latch is still plastic and snaps tightly and better than original, the mounting holes for the new hinge did not change, turned out perfectly, and it looks great on my Igloo.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Replacement latch fit perfect with existing holes, and aligned perfectly with the existing latch post. I saved the new latch post for when the existing ones finally wear out. Great Igloo replacement latch
This is a great replacement latch. It works wonderful. It is so much better than the plastic rubber latch that the coolers come with. I think once you replace one of those plastic rubber latches with this stainless steel latch your worries of having a latch break is over. Quick Fix
My old blue Igloo did everything a cooler should, except keep its lid shut. The plastic latch was worn out. This was an extremely easy fix. I only had to remove the old latch. The new one screwed into the existing holes and held firmly. The existing plastic post it snaps onto did not need to be adjusted.
