Cheaper and better coffee than pods
Its a Bunn. If your family drinks a pot of coffee everyday I recommend this standard of the restaraunt industry, now home sized. Fast pot of coffee for the thermos or eight cups for breakfast. You can make two large mug fulls instead of a whole pot. Couple downsides, it is not for single cups so if you don't drink a pot of coffee yourself this would not be good. If you do not make coffee almost everyday, I make two or three daily, then a Bunn is not going to be your friend. And the biggest issue for me, if you like finely ground coffee, even with the slower "shower head" you can get free from Bunn the basket will overrun.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Lightweight Brewer

Bunn BX Coffee maker
I have been using cone shaped coffee makers for years and moved to a stove top percolator when my last maker gave up the ghost. I was concerned I would have to use a bit more coffee to get the strength I like because of the flat bottom basket and the advertised brew speed. I have been adding a little more coffee (about a half scoop more), but my husband (who doesn't like strong coffee insists it isn't necessary). This is an extraordinary coffee maker. It really does make coffee in about 3 minutes. It has about the same footprint as my previous coffee makers and fits well under the cabinets. The pouring spout is fantastic - no dripping or spilling. The model I bought was assembled in the USA, which was important to me. I have been using this for a week without problems. Only time will tell if it will last long enough to be worth the price. This Bunn coffee maker is so fast. Fresh coffee is brewed so fast everyday it amazes me, I just turn around and the pot is almost full. The coffee remains hot in the pot until the burner is shut off.
