The plans for this are dated 2009, so the cost for anything you need to buy are either outrageous now, or you can't find them due to supply chain issues. You could buy a used or possible even a new saw for this cost. Plus either I missed it in the fine print or you need a welder to finish this, and if you don't weld well you'll need a welder person to complete the saw. Disappointed.

It is not clear that this person even read the plans material I sent. He/she is wrong about almost everything. Yes, the plans were originally made in 2009 but the prices of things needed for the saw haven't gone up that much (I'm not sure about steel.). A new 18" rock saw runs $5,000-7,500. Yes, he/she missed the info. about the welder. I mentioned the welder in the "Tools" document in the plans and the instructions text many times refers to welding things. He/she didn't read either.
