    Diamond Fret Crowning File - 35mm by 2.5mm concave profile file TF080 Diamond Fret Crowning File

    Good product, i used this on a 2013 Gibson ES-335 DOT The frets were just too tall for me so i decided to lower them and make them more like my SG, i filed them down with a fret levelling file and then re crowned them with this tool. Its not for the feint hearted when you start messing with a very expensive guitar but was easy enough and the tool made the job simple. The think i liked was that the file came with the different grades of sandpaper to polish up the frets afterwards. I spent about 10 mins crowning the frets and then about an hour polishing with the sandpaper, working up through the grades to get a nice finish.

    Good stuff

    I have always used fret files in the past and I thought I would give this diamond file ago. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use. I've used it on three guitars now and it is much quicker then fret files, although it will never completely replace files. You can get replacement blades to suit different fret sizes, so that's a nice touch too.

    Outstanding crowning file

    This crowning file is a very well made and effective tool that is comfortable in the hand and easy to use. At this price, I think it is an excellent value. I would not hesitate to recommend this tool, and in fact I did recommend it to my local music shop owner/instrument setup expert.

    Just useful

    A well designed little tool that fits the hand well and gets a nice shape on modern fret sizes, it's way too deeply slotted for very small frets as one might find on a classical guitar or older acoustic, but such small frets need less work and are easier to shape with a file.

    This tool works.

    This diamond cutting crowning tool is the best, by far, out of the 3 that I've purchased lately. More expensive than the others, hense the 4, rather than 5 , out of 5. The handle position is perfect for controlled use. Nice to get a tool that works off the internet!
