I have made alterations to these previously so, not a big deal - plenty to chop off & work w/. They make a great cap. The brim was NOT the cardboard type but plastic so, washable! Way better than other repros. Arrived with lightning speed from overseas. Good quality repro (wool a tad thinner than previous editions), proper color, well-stiched multi-pieced construction, marked "M-434" & size was perfect.

The felted wool fabric of the cap is a little bit thinner than I had hoped for, but I think you have to spend at least twice as much to get something closer to the original. Nevertheless it is quite functional and I'm happy with it.
