I was recommended something like this by a friend. Found this on eBay and thought it was a good buy. Got it for our dog for the colder months as she stays in the kitchen in her box. It does what it says and stays warm for a long time. Used it last night in the bed as the dog was a bit poorly, she had a good nights sleep and full of energy today. The disc was still warm after a nights use. It does get very hot and needs a cover to prevent burns. I left the cover on instead of just leaving it under a blanket as the dog moves the covers in the night. I would recommend this.I was recommended something like this by a friend. Depends how fussy your pet is!
I've given this one star because it didn't do what said in packet even though followed instructions to the letter. Took three attempts get hit and then only stayed warm about two hours. Possibly I got a flawed one so I'd say give it a go but only if your pet is known to like heat as mine wouldn't go near it. It was a hard pad and not soft as I expected. I hoped that when it was hot it would soften up but sadly this was not the case. My rabbits stay outdoors in the day and are brought inside at night whilst it’s cold. I use the heat pad in the bedroom area of their outdoor cage through the day and it gives me peace of mind that they have a warm area to go to if they’re feeling the cold. They do go and snuggle up to it on the frosty days, they seem to really like it! And the length of time it stays warm for is great!! I bought this for my 17yr old cat who feels the cold. She loves this, and won't sleep anywhere else but on this heatpad. It's very simple and convenient to use (just pop in the microwave for a few minutes). At bedtime I slip it under her own fleecy bedcover - the gentle heat keeps her warm right through until the next evening!
