Seriously nice heirloom quality saw. Must have. TKY. The cigar box miter is definitely interesting. Mostly I just wanted that awesome saw. Cuts on the push stroke.

    Cigar Box Guitar Builds

I have used this product to cut 7 fretboards so far and it works excellent. If you are a CBG builder and you don't have one of these, you do not know what you are missing. An excellent product! BTW, the saw is MEGA sharp so be safe and use safety gloves. The voice of experience.

  • Top critical review

Decent saw, make your own upgraded mitre box and it'll do the job.

The saw was ok for the price which was fair. It could have been sharper. The little mitre box is not worth much I made a precise one from scrap hardwoods. It does do the job with a well made mitre box . So all in all not a bad tool for the money.

  • You can't go wrong with Gitty

I received this amazing little mitre box the other day. It's precision cut and goes together super easily and is solid once it's glued up. The saw is also real good quality for the price. There is just enough wiggle room in the box to ensure your piece will fit. I screwed it to my bench and made my first truly straight fret board. The best part you ask, the amazing smell of wood burned logos. A nice touch.

  • Perfect for building a cigar box guitar

I bought this fretting saw to make my first cigar box guitar. The blade is very sharp and does a great job accurately cutting slats for installing frets. Its just as good as the more expensive ones sold on stew mac. Plus it comes with a custom miter box. I highly recommend this product. C.B. Gitty does a great job finding and creating quality tools for a good value.

  • meh... it'll get you through the night

it's a decent value if you have no long term plans to use this and you don't want to pay stewmac's outrageous prices..., although the saw isn't too bad once you straighten it out... the miter box sqeaks and squeals like crazy as the blade rubs against it, so that gets rather annoying... if you can afford a better set up, go for it!
