    The pre-wired set up is so convenient for my bridge pickup on my SG style guitar. But, I had to add a wood piece to raise "P-90" to be high enough near strings. My guitar knock off,Gibson's Maestro, SG's pick up cavity was deep and had to work on adding wood to get it going but less work on soldering. Over all, it's worth it.

    Review of the soap bar p-90 pick-up

    I like the product alot . it responds very well with my cigar box guitar. "note" it will produce some hum,because it is a single coil pick-up "not" a humbucker. but all you have too do is move yourself around a little bit " until you find the "sweet spot" where all of the "hum" disappears, then you can enjoy the chimmey clean tones, or the growling overdrive,Very satisfied with the pick-up would recommend, It will bring your music new life !!!!!!!!

    Works for old blues guitar

    Was a "ready to go" solution for adding pickup to "old looking" acoustic. Had to rig mounting in soundhole, but works out fine for the "Old Beat-Up Blues Axe" I was putting together for slide guitar. The pots didn't give as much depth of tone that I sought, but that is accomplished further with the tone EQ on the amp. Didn't much care for it at first, but quickly grew on me-now I love it! I smudged some wood stain on it to make it look 'old&dirty', intentionally "Country Crude"

    Great especially at this price

    I put this in a cheap homemade lap steel. One small piece of ash for the body and a 2x4 neck.. This pickup sounds great. Rich , full and good clarity.
