The film was O.K. but the soundtrack is something else, I am so pleased that John Williams got the movie people to list the saxophone soloist in the end credits. If anyone wants to experience what an alto saxophone should sound like, look no further, Dan Higgins gets the most beautiful saxophone sound i have ever heard, I have passed his name on to most of my fellow saxophonists and they all agree, if he was English, he would get a knighthood, arise Sir Dan. A much underrated score from this whimsical movie. It hits all the right spots, and - best of all - stands alone WITHOUT the movie. Sadly, however, for reasons best known to the producers, the "James Bond Theme" which was used in the movie, does not appear on the CD. At the purchase price I paid, it's a bargain. Cool stuff!
Score from the film based on a true story of the cheque forger and con man Frank W Abagnale Jr who pretends to be a pilot, a doctor and a lawyer. He makes millions and becomes a target for the FBI especially agent Carl Hanratty played by Tom Hanks (Has he ever been in a poor film?). The cat and mouse chase that ensues is well written and shot and is a first.... a film with Leonado Dicaprio in it that I like.
Maestro¡¡¡¡ A Williams le queda mucha mucha mucha cuerda que dar :-) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ :- )
