I think it was a very good buy it is in better shape than the one I have had for years! I am not the first owner and who ever had it before really did a job on it. I have a good repair man that got it in good running condition. Any how enough of that--this is a great MILWAUKEE GP7 is great

For something over 60 years old this engine runs like it's newer than that. The e-unit is a little sticky, but it got better the more I ran it. I collect these early GP's, and it's nice to get one that needs nothing except a little servicing.

The Lionel postwar GP7 and GP 9 series locomotives are well made and popular. The Milwaukee Road is failrly common, and examples I have seen are good runners. This one is nit exceotion. It is clean, shows nirmal wear with no damage. I made it a gift to the grandchildren because it is deoendanle and durable. This was a good purchase.at a fair price considering that you can't ve 100% sure about what you will get with a used toy.

Great old engine, easy to repair and rebuild. All the GP7's have loud E-units once that issue is fixed you will have a great running reasonably quiet 50' era toy train.
