    No more leaks!

    I installed the wear sleeve kit on my Dodge with 365K miles. The crank did not have a groove, but I could feel a slight imperfection and could see a polished area on it. I pressed the sleeve on with the harmonic damper. Just alternate between bolts until it seats flush with the crankshaft. I chose to use some thread locker under the sleeve to keep oil from seeping around it. Install seal to depth with the jig provided and install cover. Be sure to clean the crank with brake cleaner and do not oil the seal. It supposedly has a coating that spins on to the crank at the first startup. So far so good for me. No more leaks!

    Not Genuine Cummins Part

    Probably fine quality for the price but pretty obvious after taking out of packaging it is not a genuine cummins seal. In my experience genuine cummins seals will be stamped with “cummins” as well as part number. May hold up fine but not cummins.

    Great product.

    After cummins told me the front seal was a 8 hr job which would end up costing us about $1,200.00 I decided to do it myself. 4 hrs later seal was installed as well as sleeve, all worked perfectly.

    Perfect!

    Exactly what I needed, depth tool was handy. I could not get the little black dust seal on, however I’m not sure that it was necessary because the old one did not have one.
