Buy a Haynes manual for your car, its worth its weight in gold.
Once again a superb comprehensive workshop manual from Haynes, I would not expect anything less. my own car falls between this model & the new shape but the A6 1997 late is only covered as an A4. this book has helped me fill in some of the gaps as it has a few more 3D exploded view drawings then it successor. well that's another Audi back on the road. if you buy a new car or an older one I would always recommend that you buy a Haynes manual for it at the same time.
