Not as it seems
This was my first cctv system I have bought and maybe I should have researched it better,but this particular unit does not record and only live streams which is useless.so another $120 buying a hard drive fixed the problem. Other then that it's very easy to use and the cameras are absolutely fantastic. I would buy off these guy's again only next time it will have a hard drive included!

You get what you pay for - Cheap is CHEAP !!!
Software is a major letdown. The AVSS PC program is very limited and does not have the ability to manage device settings as you would using the DVR directly - which is a HUGE pain if the device is stored remotely or securely. You can't even 'zoom' in on any LIVE or PLAYBACK footage. It doesn't refresh properly and shows old camera images along the sidebar - quite annoying since cameras had been changed around during setup. The Android App is similarly appalling - esp. trying to use in landscape mode. Interaction with the DVR settings is also limited like the AVSS program. At least you can 'zoom' in on the App. Overall the camera picture clarity is good and DVR records great fotage - as for user friendly interaction - BIG FAIL. My older SWANN 720p DVR was way more interactive and ... Software is a major letdown. Great product ... just as was describe!
The Model I brought was without the Hard Drive as I already had several old HD's sitting around . That is an option when you buy it .With or without a hard drive. I set it up and installed the app on my phone in about 1 hour!! Great product for the price and much better than my old Swann system. It has good cameras with real 1080 clear picture.
