Not the brightest of lenses. A bit fuzzy focus in dull conditions. Pretty sharp in bright light but don't compare it to anything more expensive. Mechanically acceptable - focus ring is not quite smooth but the zoom's OK. See Ken Rockwell's review for more detail. Can't really complain at the price.

Firstly, this is an amazing lens, apparently the first 18-200mm lens I bought for my self and I think the picture quality and features was a great bargain when I got it. Sold for around £117. The zoom is great and the aperture, just about right. I got some of my great shots with this lens. The lock feature also delivered a great purpose. The only disadvantage that I can think of is because I'm using a Nikon D60 camera and in that case it doesn't AF, but this wasn't a problem for me. So, before buying a lens make sure that it is compatible with your current camera. Overall, this lens is great in anywhere you use it, landscape, portrait or macro.
