I purchased three (3) of these after much research and could not be happier. They were purchased as a replacement for my Quantum Qflash T5d-R units. I purchased because I found it harder and harder to stay loyal to a brand that I had been using for years with the only complaint being the number of accessories that needed to be purchased to support them. With the StreakLights, the only accessories that I needed was the R2 Bridge so that I could control flash output from my camera body. Getting them linked and setting the power ratio is a snap and the output is fantastic. I have yet to try them with my Mamiya RZ67 or any of my Hasselblad units but I am sure that they will work out fine. If you are used to setting up flash systems or using the Nikon iTTL CLS system you will not have any problems. Highly recommended.Read full review

This flash fills a spot halfway between a speedlight and a monoblock. It’s heavy for a speedlight: 27.5 oz /1.75 lbs/ 780 gm without battery pack. You can shoot with it in a camera hot shoe (and one is provided, along with a separate foot with a 1/4x20 socket). That is, *if* you only shoot horizontals and *if* you have a lot of faith in your camera’s hot shoe. It’s more practical on a light stand. The Streaklight is a re-branded Godox Witstro A360. You get plenty of power. Its guide number is 182 (in feet at ISO 100 with standard reflector). Recycle time is under 3 seconds at full power. Since it has a physically larger flashtube, I’d expect it to heat up less than a speedlight with rapid flashes. The standard reflector gives a much softer light, too. A really useful feature is that it is adjustable in a 6-stop range in 1/3 stop increments, from full to 1/128th power. It comes with a standard reflector and has available an umbrella reflector and a dome diffuser. The head attaches to any standard Lumedyne accessory as well. Or take the reflector off and shoot bare-bulb. Trigger it wirelessly with either the R1 or R2 receiver. In short, it’s a joy to use, and a great price for what you get. OK, that’s the good news. Here’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars: 1. Another reviewer said his head survived a 7-foot topple from a light stand. I dropped mine about 18 inches onto industrial carpeting and broke it. Not the flashtube; something is arcing inside the head. Here’s the kicker: there is no repair service in North America, and your local repairman will have to work with no spare parts and no schematic. If you break it, buy another. 2. The Streaklight will shoot in high speed sync (HSS) mode. Press the Mode and Set buttons together to enter HSS mode. But the unit will not shoot HSS with Flashpoint’s own R1 or R2 wireless triggers. I understand that the YongNuo YN-622 and Pocket Wizard TT1 and TT5 will work (I haven’t tested them). I love this unit and bought two of them (and a third to replace the one I broke). They’re powerful and packed with features. But I plan to handle them carefully, and will consider a Yongbuo remote.Read full review

I bought the Flashpoint Streaklight 360WS to supplement my Buff DigiBee 800. Although the DigiBee is rated at 320 WS it is a bit more efficient delivering light output. Using similar 7" reflectors the DigiBee 800 was about 6/10 of a stop faster. Not a scientific test by any means. Regardless, the Streaklight has a decided advantage in lighter weight and certainly more portable. I have use the Godox DB-02 Adapter to get faster recycle time, especially when using full or even half power although I rarely use full or even 1/2 power. Probably not a very useful accessory except when fast recycle times are required. Having the ability to use HSS is a big plus. This particular flash does not a TTL and I could care less about that. Overall the construction is excellent.

These are extremely powerful flash units. Also very portable. If you need to photograph someone or something and the allotted time is just 5 minutes these do the job. No cables needed, no power cords. For weddings these are perfect for off camera flash. Anyone can shoot a wedding, but creative lighting techniques separates you from everyone else. This allows you to charge 100’s and even thousands more because of the use of these lights. The lights come with batteries. For fast recycling time buy the extra cable that hooked into both battery sockets. Less that $15.
