Well if you have Ridgid tools it makes sense to buy this if you can get it for 20 bucks with free shipping like I did the product and has a individual bulb LED bulb I believe and it's a very small beam that it projects but it's focused the head of it swivels to about a 90° angle so it can face straightforward working face almost straight up Because it's an LED and doesn't use too much juice so those 1.5 batteries for 1.5 amp hour batteries that aren't worth anything else as far as using any of your power tools goes probably be suitable for the flashlight that being said I have no regrets but I haven't seen how long it will last with the 1.5 amp hour battery because it's an LED and doesn't use too much juice so those 1.5 batteries for 1.5 amp hour batteries that aren't worth anything else as far as using any of your power tools goes probably be suitable for the flashlight that being said I have no regrets but I haven't seen how long it will last with the 1.5 amp hour batteryRead full review

The giant 18v batteries should last for a very, very long time. The LED is bright, but the reflector could be much better. It projects a "muddy" beam of light with rings and dim areas. If you're walking on a path in the woods and need a little light, this is fine. But in finer, close-quarter work, getting the brightness where you need it takes a little fidgeting. It's not a deal-breaker of a fault, more like an "oh, rats" feeling. I'm a Ridgid fan at heart, and this was disappointing. the articulated head is quite handy and the heavy battery at the bottom keeps it very stable. With a better light quality, this could be an amazing flashlight.

This is not the best/brightest flashlight I own but it is my favorite. I do auto paint and body, and many times I need a flashlight, not only to remove and install items, but also to access damage. The best light I have is a Streamlight....bright small and handy, but it's not rechargeable and the batteries don't last long enough. This light by Ridgid is a home run in every respect...I have two batteries I keep charged all the time, so I always have a light and it's plenty bright for what I need it for...it is in fact VERY bright! I'm probably going to get a charger for the batteries that will be compatible with my Streamlight, but this light will get a lot of use even if I do...it's just a nice light. You can set it on the base and angle the light pretty much anywhere you need it...can't do that with my Streamlight! Buy it, you'll like it! I also have 2 Tek4 Ryobi lights I love but this beats all of them IMO for usefulness.Read full review

I have several other Ridgid 18 volt cordless tools and wanted to add the work light. the main selling point was it matched the current batteries and charger I use. The work light arrived sealed in the original bubble pack and works great. I really like the size it is compact and i'm able to use it in tight locations. I did try to register it with the Ridgid online site but because it was not bought thru Home Depot I had to print a form and send receipt with that for a determination. Ridgid will decide if its covered under their Lifetime Warranty. Will update when I find out.

Works great, very bright not as easy (awkward) to use as a headband light.
