THE HEALING BOUQUET has been written by Vinton McCabe, a teacher with more than a quarter century of experience in homoeopathy and the author of seven books on the subject of homoeopathy, health and healing. In this companion volume to The Healing Enigma, in which he explored and, ultimately, demystified the complex principles of homoeopathy, McCabe now seeks to place the Bach Flower Remedies within their natural context - that of homoeopathic medicine. As the author comments, We have to remember that Edward Bach was an allopathic doctor and a highly successful one who, after reading the writings of Samuel Hahnemann, began to incorporate homoeopathic philosophy in his practice of medicine. His evolution as a physician ultimately led him to close his medical practice in order to dedicate the last part of his life to the creation of a new pharmacy of healing tools, which today we call the Bach Flower Remedies. Given his background as both an allopath and a homoeopath, the remedies he created are totally unique. They represent the perfect balancing point between homeopathic and herbal medicine. He, also, explains Bach's own philosophy of healing, one that stresses the need for emotional healing and the role that it plays in physical health. More importantly, he gives in-depth portraits of the guiding symptoms for each of Bach's thirty-eight remedies, portraits created with insight, humour and an understanding of human emotions and behaviours that will allow readers to identify themselves and those who are part of their lives within these pages.
