The tips are pointer than typical thick plastic restaurant chopsticks. Not like weapon pointy :p -- Anyway, to get them back into the bottom of the case, you basically have to jiggle the chopsticks until they fall into the hole of the bottom rubber cap. Otherwise you won't be able to close the rubber top cap. The chopsticks definitely feel and look like high quality!
