  • Sorely Disappointed

I heard the author being interviewed a couple of times and what I took from the interviews it was mainly centered around Mcwhirters Department store. Turned out it was a boring family story hardly ever related to the department store and a whole lot of assumptions about the part of the family who didn't even live in Brisbane. There is no substance to this story and a lot of no so sure if this even happened hence the assumption reference. To me perhaps some interviews with ex staff would have gone a long way to give the history of McWhirters. Why push it in interviews as an important part of the book when it wasn't.
