Well I was surprised I could even find one of these now, most modern HT leads are silicon cored and already have approx 2kohm resistance - unless you have a classic car and still prefer copper leads which have no suppression at all and want to fit a radio but find it crackles. There are no specific instructions with this, so I just cut the lead from the coil and it simply screws on both ends - seems quite secure for now. At first no difference but the crackling disappeared after a few minutes!
