Be careful

It was broken.
I did not know that open box meant damaged. The piece that covers the water tank was off and lying in the box. I found a tiny grey cylinder that looked like it was important so I saved it. Turns out this is part of the hinge which attaches one side of the door to the water reservoir. It is actually broken (as in snapped off). So in reality I would not have purchased this iron as the "New Open Box" description is misleading. It should be NEW DAMAGED OPEN BOX.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Never thought nice and iron would go in same sentence
Really a nice iron. It doesn't leak and is great steaming. It is wider than my previous iron, so I had to "widen" the metal rack that holds it in my laundry room tho. Rowenta, means quality and durability.
The weight is perfect. The iron glides over the fabric so smoothly. The handle grip is comfortable, especially, someone with arthritis in the hands. I have had and have several Rowenta products.
