Inspection beam is very narrow and dim
I bought this for edc pocket light useful for walks, locating dropped items and for visibility in crosswalks. It is light, appears sturdy and is of metal construction, however the “inspection “ beam is very narrow. It is too narrow to be useful when walking on the sidewalk. The beam throw is not wide enough. There is no way to open the emitter or modify the lens. Despite two AAA batteries, it is about ½ as bright as my single Aaa Cree light that’s ½ the size and same price. Pic is 16” circle when light held 36”, about waist height. No scatter, sharp border of beam due to lens. This light is on the RIGHT in the pic. My single AAA light is on left. Good EDC
Not my first coast but the first single led small pen style light. It’s bright enough and if I was still doing automotive work this would be great for doing car inspections. There are brighter options but this is a solid light that I carry everyday. I have yet to replace the batteries and I’ve been using it daily for a couple of months now. The case doesn’t get hot like some larger lights. If you see me this thing is in my pocket. Not my first coast but the first single led small pen style light. This is a GOOD pen light!
I have to say this is the best pen light I have ever come across. Quality is excellent. Some thought was given to designing on how it would feel in a person's hand when being used. Very comfortable. The button to turn it on/off is very positive. The light beam it puts out is a very clear circle with sharp edges. Makes this a great inspection flashlight. Couple this with an approximate battery time of 10 hours and you have a great flashlight.I have to say this is the best pen light I have ever come across. Quality is excellent.
