    Mao's Last Dancer (young readers' edition)

    Wonderful story, well written and interesting. I was so drawn in to Li Cunxin's world and how poor he was, the strength which grew within him and where he got to! Amazing life!!!

    An Excellent Read!

    This book tells the inspirational story of Li Cunxin, a ballet dancer. It starts from childhood and continues to explain how he rose to fame. The only thing I would criticise about the book is that there are a few sentences that are in Chinese or Mandarin, which interrupts the easy flow reading. However, there are English translations. Also the end seems a little rushed whereas parts in the beginning seem to drag. But overall it is an excellent read, which will have you question if your following your heart/ dreams or just going with the flow of life. Truly inspirational.
