Bobby "The Brain" Heenan revolutionized sports entertainment with impressive skills as a manager, a wrestler and a color commentator. He is recogbized as the greatest manager of all time. The Brain's sharp, quick wit made him a valuable mouthpiece for those he represented. Over the years, Heenan's numerous proteges included AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel, "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig, Aen Anderson & Tully Blanchard, Harley Race, and of course, Andre the Giant - whom Heenan led to the ring at Wrestlemania III before 93,173 fans in 1987. As a "broadcast jouenalist", Heenan formed a classic combination with Gorilla Monsoon, and the two vecame the Abbott and Costello of sports entertainment. In 2004, Heenan was rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Now, for the first ... On a personal note, I have worked with Bobby at conventions, and although the cancer has done a job on him, his attitude is amazing. Spending three hours at a time with him really puts things into perspective. It is truly an honor to know Bobby, and the WWE did a great job highlighting his career.Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
