The Samsung Gear VR 2016...better than the rest for sure
The Samsung Gear VR 2016 is the best smartphone HMD that I've used for steam vr (using rift at and sideload vr). Better sensors in the HMD give a smoother performance than you can get out of Google cardboard and the ability to run and keep the phone charged is nice. Keep in mind that you have to have an official Samsung fast charge adapter for that feature to work properly. The usb cable can be different as long as it is a usb type-c female connection on the end that you will plug into the headset. The Samsung Gear VR 2016 is the best smartphone HMD that I've used for steam vr (using rift at and sideload vr). VR Technology still young
Reviewing Samsung Gear VR i would say that Vr technology is still very young. Even Samsung Galaxys S6/S7 Edge screen resolution is not enough. You can clearly see the pixels even with high quality videos. It's not a device fault. It is what it is. That being said,it is certainly worth to try it since it is one of the best(if not the best) for mobile Vr experience. Prefer animated apps and videos.They look much better than real videos. Videos look better if downloaded and not streamed but still poor quality even with demo videos. No support an all video/audio codecs but it's a legal issue. Anyway watching movies on the device is highly NOT recommended due to very poor quality, no matter what. Cool, but could be way better
I like the idea and concept of this thing. Seeing some things in 360HD is kinda cool. Some changes- One: being able to reset the horizon. I wanted to watch movies lying down. Nope. You have to be upright. I don't want to sit up in bed to watch everything. Second: clear up the view. It looks like I am watching everything thru a screen window. You can almost get over it, but it is distracting. Third: make the round lenses larger. It is too easy to see the edges of the lenses when looking anywhere but the dead center. Larger lenses would fix issue four: move the larger lenses a little further from my eyeballs. They are close enough to be contacts. The heat from my eyes fogs up the lenses constantly. This item is great it is light weight and easy to use. I have nothing bad to say other then if your new to wearing vr headsets be weary that it can be a little dizzying at first. but as you use it more it gets better.

Way Cool. Totally Different World
I've been paralyzed from the neck down for over 30 years and the VR glasses has opened up a whole new world for me. I am now able to ride roller coasters and do many things I thought was never possible. I would suggest everyone to get a set of these. I can't explain how great they are but if you try them I guarantee you will fall in love with them. They are very lightweight and made of good quality material.I've been paralyzed from the neck down for over 30 years and the VR glasses has opened up a whole new world for me.
