My neighbor`s 2005 DODGE RAM 2500 stopped running. The starter would crank the engine without the ignition key being installed in the ignition switch. I had to disconnect the battery to stop the starter. After checking the wiring on the vehicle, and finding it to be good, I came to the conclusion that the, Powertrain Control Module,(ENGINE, AND TRANSMISSION COMPUTER on this vehicle), was bad. Installed the PCM from FLASHMASTERS on the vehicle, and the vehicle started right up.
