The replacement connector has small plastic shims which also hold the pins used for communication in place; one of these came loose but was easy enough to replace. It is also worth noting the key-portion at the top of the connector extends the full length of the connector, whereas the original port extends about 3/4 of the way before stopping. This makes it not quite fit in the original housing and may require additional modifications.
