Spotlight just the right places in your Department 56 Christmas village display with this 23-piece wiring setup. The Department 56 Building and Accessory lighting system offers big possibilities for illuminating the lamps, streets, and figures of your tiny village set. It features a unique concealed design that allows you to hide the lighting components, and each ingenious lighting strip lights up to nine homes and three accessories or ornaments. That means you can showcase select elements or use a couple together to light your village up bright enough to see from the North Pole. This unit uses only 3 volts of power to run the set, and it's rated at 6 amps, so it won't stress your power bill or overheat. One of the biggest issues many collectors have with keeping their village illuminated is dealing with the mess of cords or finding a replacement battery in a pinch. However, those days are gone with this smart, wired system that allows you to store cables out of sight. The unit comes with a light strip that is controlled by a simple power switch, so no batteries are necessary. You can even plug several into a surge-protected power strip if you have a large number of accessories. There are multiple cords to fit in a variety of situations and white light bulbs to provide pure, clean lighting without affecting the amount of illumination in your collection. The adapter and cord for the accessories are snow white, and they will fit any Department 56 component that use a traditional 120-volt cord and #55026 AC/DC adapter, including the older Dickens Village buildings and animated figurines. If you're using this Department 56 set for items and figures from other manufacturers, like Lemax Christmas trees or figures, you'll need to purchase a 2.5mm adapter to ensure the electronics are compatible. The lengths measure 36 inches, 48 inches, and 60 inches for the nine building wires, and the measurement for each accessory cord is 46 inches long. Additional cords are available in sets of three, and each of the wires in the add-on package is 48 inches long. This setup uses #56.53121 replacement light bulbs, and any unused bulbs can simply be replaced so that you won't have to worry about leaving an open socket. All the wiring elements for the lights are thinner and weigh less than many comparable systems for easier handling, layout, and storage. That means no more loading up boxes of wires or trying to find a way to keep the wiring out of sight and detracting from viewing pleasure. You'll also be able to add on to your collection without purchasing additional components if you have a few leftover plugs and wires.     Pretty Good

    These lighting systems are a plus if you have a lot of Christmas village pieces. This item was purchased used and I had a little issue getting the lights to burn. One strand is still a bit quirky but I got it burning. So far it's working but will probably pay a little more for a new system next time.

    Great quality product and we would recommend. Use caution though, great for powering accessories (3 volt) but the light bulbs are also 3 volt and noticeable dimmer when placed in buildings.

    No problem with the level of light offered by this product

    I am enjoying the product and the ease with which one can attach many Dept 56 items to one outlet. Came with several non working bulbs and I think the price should be half of what is charged for a Chinese made product.
