I received the book I ordered in the condition depicted on the web page. The seller packaged the vintage paperback in a plastic envelope with cardboard sheathing, and shipped the item in a cushioned envelope to protect against damage in the mail. A receipt was also included for my records if needed.

I am reading the Jean Auel's Earthe's Children series again after 20 plus years, and I still love it. The Mammoth Hunters is one of my favorites in the series. I love the way she writes discribing all the details that if you were there, you would notice. She puts you in the moment, so that you feel like you are there and uses language that is relevant without getting lost in fluff that loses the reality of the story. I've run the gamit of emotions with the characters including with the animals in the story. She uses information that is factual to the plants, the type of animals that would have been around during this time, and discribes the landscape that sounds accurate for what it may have looked like for this time. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.
