    Poor quality, really bad poor packaging was just put in a large box with nothing else no cushion nothing at all. Item arrived broken from multiple areas. Seller takes days to respond. Seller was provided pictures of damaged box and damaged item took days to respond. Instead of providing a replacement is requesting me to ship back to them in order get a refund on my dime. Bad seller loss of time and money.

Literally everything about this transaction has been wrong, buyers beware.

    3rd. one I've owned. FOR CARBURETED SYSTEMS ONLY

    This is a generic review of this style of Carter pump. I bought this one to use as a fuel transfer pump, and it works great for that purpose. Of course it's much slower than a real purpose-built transfer pump, but it's also a lot cheaper. In years past I have used these for a 1973 Fiat 128 and a 1975 GMC Suburban 454 used for pulling a heavy travel trailer. In both cases they performed flawlessly and never had a problem. I have also helped a couple of friends install them, and they were happy with the performance. They run quietly except when they are running empty, and then they get a bit noisy until they fill with fuel and are under a load. The neoprene isolation bushings provide good sound isolation. Since the motor and bearings run submerged in gasoline, the fuel provides cooling and ...

    CARTER FUEL PUMP, it is quite noisy, it makes more noisy than my open exhaust buggy engine, w/ a turbo, it does NOT say Carter on it, Is it a Carter?

    It works fine EXCEPT for the NOISE, MY OLD CARTER WAS NOT REAL NOISY. How do I know if it is a CARTER? It is mounted the same way that the old one was mounted, the pump is mounted in rubber but the mounting bracket is NOT. I am not complaining but I wish it was quieter

    Excellent Electric Fuel pump

    This fuel pump will work with all the older cars & trucks with the low pressure systems (before Fuel Injection). It is very easy to install and will give you MANY YEARS of service. I've used them before and they are of excellent quality. They are very well built and has a name that all good mechanics will recognize. It comes with pretty much all you will need to install it except the battery power. A GREAT PRODUCT. You will NOT be disappointed with it.

    Powerfull, robust and reliable.

    This pump replaced a similar one that had been on my Alfa Spider for 15 years and was damaged by debris in the road. The car has Webers. It works much better than the more expensive Facet bendix type pump but it is important to also install a good quality regulator to control the pressure at 2.5 to 3 psi. I recommend a Filter King regulator.

    Bullet Proof

    Stuck it under my 71 Chev PU and is doing just fine..I like the hardware that came with the unit and the great customer care guy at Carter,he was very helpful in explaining how to plumb my system in an easy way to run the manual pump and the electric together or individually..Not the quietest pump,but so is my truck.. I would buy again
