About this product

Product Information

Set in 1885, The Ox-Bow Incident is a searing and realistic portrait of frontier life and mob violence in the American West. First published in 1940, it focuses on the lynching of three innocent men and the tragedy that ensues when law and order are abandoned. The result is an emotionally powerful, vivid, and unforgettable re-creation of the Western novel, which Clark transmuted into a universal story about good and evil, individual and community, justice and human nature. As Wallace Stegner writes, Clark's theme was civilization, and he recorded, indelibly, its first steps in a new country.

I was checking out audiobooks by Tara Moss on eBay & this one was at the best price. I thought I hadn't heard it, so I bought. Very quick processing by Seller, arrived on time, packaged well, sealed, new, BUT I found I already had it, but hadn't listened to it. It was my fault, considered returning it, & it was made easy thru' eBay & I was able to return it to seller. A seller with great items who was very accommodating, thank you for understanding.

  • The book was delivered in very good time and in was brand new.

I bought the book because I already have the DVD and the Classic Illustrated, simething I read as a boy. The book is about justice and injustice which has always been a topic in which I have read and enjoyed by many writers. Being set in the American West its location is different but its topic is covered in great literary works, this one is also really good.
