Item arrived damaged but was refunded after contacting the vendor. Vendor readily acknowledged improper packing prior to shipment. Would have been nice to have had an intact board which didn't receive damage from improper packing, but then..., vendor was helpful in rectifying the situation.

  • Good quality components

Not a lightweight power supply like some that are full of cheap components. This power supply is very good quality, and it is very quiet. I ordered it to power an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 Motherboard with an 8 core AMD processor. The only part that stumped me was with the 8-pin (4 + 4) ATX12V/EPS12V connector. It did not seem to fit the motherboard exactly. All of the pins matched up with the holes, but one of the holes was square, while the male portion was rounded on the back. It fit anyway, but something just didn't seem right about it. The motherboard required the entire 8 pins to boot up, and there was no other connector in the semi-modular design that would exactly fix that connector on the motherboard. I big fan on the power supply pulls air in and pushes it out the back. I have ...

  • Great Quality and Easy Installation

Antec is well known for their quality products and this power supply is no exception. I've been using them for years and they never let me down. Not only are they quiet bus there are plenty of connectors to support virtually any configuration and with the modular connection design it allows you to only use the cables you need and minimize the cable clutter seen with other power supplies.

  • Works as expected.

The OEM is Seasonic. Exactly the same as the S12-II, but with higher temperature capacitors (105 vs 85 C). This unit was made a decade or so ago. No reason for it to fail if sparingly used, but be aware of component derating and don't redline it, i.e. run at max power 24/7. I have not measured the regulation or ripple. It is going to be in a low power backup test rig.
