About this product

Product Information

Cartoon Network's boy genius makes an appearance on the Game Boy Advance in Dexter's Laboratory: Deesaster Strikes. A platform action-adventure based on the popular animated show, the title features Dexter and Dee Dee in another sibling-waged war. Dee Dee has been goofing off in Dexter's secret laboratory again, and this time she's found his latest invention -- the Clone-a-matic. Now there are hundreds of Dee Dees running rampant and wreaking havoc in Dexter's lab and players must help Dexter to save his precious lab from destruction once again.

Dexter's in-game lab has eight areas and a hub to explore. He is searching for the miniature Dee Dee clones to capture them and send them packing. The number of captured Dee Dees determines each area's accessibility. In addition to snatching up the little clones, he must also disable robot miscreants and fix broken machines. The game also includes an array of puzzle-like challenges to test Dexter's brainpower.

The flood of enemies hindering Dexter's progress includes robots, aliens, and chemical mutants, yet Dexter can use punch and kick abilities or his laser Zap-a-tron to ward them off. Power-up items for replenishing health and tries lost in combat are hearts and cupcakes. Dexter will also be faced with the challenge of locating the necessary tools to fix the lab's broken machines. Dexter can navigate between available areas by using one of the teleporters located in each area. A teleporter is also located in each area that will transport Dexter directly to the hub, which is the main screen area and also where the holding tank for the Dee Dee clones is located. From the hub, players can access Dexter's main computer as well as save their game. The game ends when the machines in all eight areas are fixed.

Box and disc were not in “very good” condition, as the box art was torn and the disc had many scratches and fingerprints. But, it was the same item as in the photos, so I can’t complain too much. Shipped very fast! However, shipping price was slightly high. Seller answered my questions as well.

  • Deesaster to Play.....

I am a HUGE fan of the Dexter game, which is why I sought this out, to play on my Nintendo DS....You play as Dexter and you have to warp from room to room collecting Mini-Clones of his sister Dee Dee....The Gameplay is smooth, but the warping from room to room is just annoying....I would only recommend this game to fans of the Cartoon series, that enjoy anything Dexter but not for the average game player, unless you have the time to REALLY get into it...

  • Cute little GBA game

Bought for a dexter fan and they love it!

  • dexters laboratory

This game was challenging for my 13 year old who usuallly has the game won within a day. It was nice that he actually had to try to win. He loves it.

  • Not the best game

The game is not easy to complete, but it is pure non-sense and the "tutorial" does not help much at all. Even the adults in the family who tried to play it, could not believe how lame it is.

  • Great game

I bought this game because I was staring to build a video library for my son and it was inexpensive. It turned out to be a fun game to play and my son really likes it.
