My package arrived "gift ready," but it was for myself. :-) Necklace was packaged carefully in a small box with protective paper tied up with a yellow ribbon. It even was inside a Disney Parks plastic bag (thanks!). Outside packaging was very protective. Shipped quickly. A+++
