    It's surprising how much they get right about life in Hawaii

    I look at this show as a time capsule of my childhood. Life in the 60's, in glorious color, with beautiful and sometimes gritty Hawaiian locations. Yeah, it's a cop show, and can be silly, but the encapsulated social commentary, idiomatic language and the sincere, but perhaps naive depiction of the Vietnam War and "Red Menace" era are too much fun.
