First Blood is one of Sylvester Stallone's best movies.
In my opinion, this is a really entertaining and pretty underrated 30-year-old film. I think that this probably should have received a few Oscar nominations back in 1982 such as Best Leading Actor for Sylvester Stallone, Best Original Score, and Best Sound Mixing. The movie was definitely worth buying. I got this on VHS and that edition was an old rare copy of its Thorn EMI release from 1985 with the huge advertisement for, Rambo: First Blood Part II coming to home video, stretched all over the back cover. The tape played really well and what was also interesting was that there were over ten minutes of previews after the end credits, but that is the way it usually is for most Thorn EMI VHS tapes. As for the movie itself, this flick marked the starting point for one of the most memorable ... In my opinion, this is a really entertaining and pretty underrated 30-year-old film. Hopefully, there will be a Rambo 5, but it seems as though that Stallone has moved on with other projects such as The Expendables 2 coming out next month in August. With First Blood, it was also cool that I actually got a chance to see this on the big screen when it was briefly re-released into theaters for one night in May 2008 as promotion of the fourth Rambo which was arriving on DVD and Blu-Ray at that time. In the end, it would be awesome if they made another one even though it is unlikely that will happen again, but you never know because the last Rambo came out almost twenty years after the third entry.

First Blood
The first in a series of the Rambo films. Stallone is brillant in his portrail of a Viet Nam veteran returning home only to be harassed by the local sheriff. Richard Crenna is also supberb as Rambos C.O.
