Hi Projector screen buyers. It's under a week that I've been using this new screen. This Elite Pro AV sourced 120" product, for a manual screen specifically, is about the best you will get your hands on in Australia at this time. Aren't all white screens the same you ask? No. This product is ISF certified, which the manufacturer has to pay for. This 100% makes a difference. This means this dark room suitable (ie at minimum lights off, ideally late afternoon / nighttime usage screen - not necessarily room painted black no, my lounge / media room is a nice mid grey) will reflect back colour and black / white levels properly from any decent manufacturer lamp based projector (like Epson, Optima, BenQ etc). This is important because you don't want the screen altering the picture you get from ... Hi Projector screen buyers. It's under a week that I've been using this new screen. This my fourth manual projector screen after owning 3 other floor based models including an Elite EZCinema 120" (not terrible, even perfectly serviceable, but also not of this screens quality - to be expected) As someone who has taken the time to learn the amateur level art of projector calibration via use of HCFR, Chromapure and an entry level colorimeter this is the first screen I've got a really good calibration result from. Delta E around 1. For just the average Joe or Jill who does not calibrate, the screen will faithfully produce the intention of your projectors default screen modes at minimum. Overall however you use it, It's really bright and consistent, Elites claim of a 1.3 gain is absolutely believable. The 3d it produces for the dimmer of my two 3d projectors is really great (previous screen not good) Fantastic for the brighter projector. The tab tensioning after a few days use is keeping the screen really nicely flat and taught. I hope that will also increase the life of this manual screen. Pull downs have a habit of sagging in the middle. You might be tempted to buy an electric screen at a similar price to this, and look if it's got to be electric then fair enough. But you won't get this screen surface. The screen surface even if only white is really important to your viewing experience. I did not realise just how important until now. I've had projectors since 2006 along with 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos etc. I'm an enthusiast. This screen has proved to me in one week it's my best purchase in 8 years. In terms of installation I would highly recommend visiting bunnings for toggle bolt ceiling hooks and suspending it with the supplied snap links from the ceiling via said hooks into the screens standard brackets. It will save your sanity particularly if you don't have a helper! Read the manual for how to treat the screen when rolling it down and up ie carefully. So far I'm pretty confident it will last comfortably past it's two year warranty with no issues. Hopefully many years past. If you are a projector enthusiast and are looking for your first "proper" quality screen and can live with it being manual - just buy it already!! I've chosen this in preference to an entry level electric ALR screen. I think for me this was the right choice. Cheers and Happy Viewing!
