If this item has been used, there is no evidence of usage. Quickly unpacked and given a soapy wash, and added to my single-place setting of this motif. Sugar bowls are not as commonly used as they used to be, but it can also be used as a jam pot. And I like the fact that this dinnerware is also microwave safe. I do certainly recommend Joannesroom.
