schnell ,übersichtlich und ausbaufähig
gebe mal eine kurze bewertung für meine Kamera ab. Die Kamera ist ein älteres Modell. Neue Features wie Live-View mit anwendunsfreundlichem AF und Film-Modus fehlen ebenso wie Trickfilter oder Ähnliches. Die Kamera ist nur für Bildaufnahmen geeignet. Hatte in der Vergangenheit schon einige Modelle von Olympus über Canon,Pentax,Sigma.Und noch Bridge-und Kompakt-Modelle. Die Kamera ist sehr schnell und einigermaßen genau. Der AF,der automatisch bewegte von unbewegten Motiven trennt ist genial.Er stellt in 8 von 10Aufnahmen korrekt scharf. Hatte zuletzt eine Nikon D90,die schaffte ca.4von 10 richtige Schärfeeinstellungen bei Bewegung.In Punkto Geschwindigkeit war nur meine alte Canon 20D schneller,aber ungenauer-außerdem nervte bei dieser der fehlende Staubfilter-war eine ewige ... gebe mal eine kurze bewertung für meine Kamera ab. Die Farbwiedergabe bei der 40D ist bei manueller Einstellung prima und bei Autoweißabgleich eine Katastrophe-fast immer zu blau-kalt.Auch hier die 20D besser.Serienstreuung oder Rückschritt? Die Belichtung trifft,auch mit Hilfe der Korrekturmöglichkeiten fast immer ins Schwarze.Auch bei Gegenlicht,miteingebautem Miniblitz,wie mit Aufsteck-oder Kabelblitzen.Dort unterscheidet sich die kamera krass von der Konkurrenz von Pentax,Sigma,Sony etc.,die ich vorher hatte. Das Zubehör-und Objektivangebot ist bis auf Nikon das umfassendste-wer hier nichts findet,ist selbst schuld. Die kameramenues sind so umfassend und übersichtlich,dass man,wenn man schon mit Fotografie vertraut ist,eigentlich keine Bedienungsanleitung braucht.Auch das einzigartig bei Canon. Die Möglichkeiten,die die Kamera bietet,ist für jemand,der öfters zur kamera greift,ausreichend.Für Einsteiger ist sie weniger geeignet,die reinen Automatikoptionen ergeben eine schlechtere Bildqualität,die ich bei meiner Olympus EP-1 erzielte,mit einem Drittel Gewicht. Die Bildqualität ist,sofern man die Möglichkeiten nutzt für schnelle Motive,Schnappschüsse,einwandfrei.Habe eine Zeitlang mit Nikon gearbeitet,dann aber eingesehen,dass sie zu langsam für mich ist. Die Kamera ist für dieses Bujet das Beste,das ich bisher hatte.Habe mir allerdings bessere,als das Kitobjektiv angeschafft.

Canon EOS 400D 10.1 Megapixel Digitalkamera nur Gehäuse
Mindestens 10 Mill. Pixel sollten es bei meinem Kauf schon sein und eine Canon auch, da ich von der Marke aus Erfahrung überzeugt bin. Die 400d war im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis top. Einzige alternative für mich wäre da die für ca. 100€ teurere 1000d (Vorteil: neu und Garantie von 2 Jahren) oder die 550d mit Video Full HD Funktion. Bisher bin ich sehr zufrieden. Gute Menüführung, gutes Handling. Natürlich hätte ich gerne Videofunktion, mehr Pixel, weniger Rauschen, schwenkbaren Display mit Live View, mehr als drei Belichtungsreihen etc. aber dann muss man auch mehr bezahlen. Mein Kollege hat sich die Sony A580 für 900€ gekauft, aber beim ganz "normalen" fotographieren, habe ich im Vergleich nichts zu bedauern (habe ja auch nur 215 € für den Body bezahlt). ...excellent camera !
i dicided to buy the canon eos 40d because my eos canon 1000d was too small for me at a time...and i wanted to scale up... also my hands were shaking too much so i wanted a camera wich is more heavy... and she is :) the canon 40d is a semi professional camera with 10,1 megapixel...she makes excellent pictures and the handling is much more better than on the 1000d...she has a high grade processed magnesium body wich gives a better protection against dust... additional she is having live view mode...i have the meaning: people who wanna look on a display while they shoot a picture better should buy a small digital camera and not a dslr...just my meaning :) theres just one thing i dont like on my 40d...thats the high colour noise... thats the only part where my 1000d was much better... but ... i dicided to buy the canon eos 40d because my eos canon 1000d was too small for me at a time...and i wanted to scale up... also my hands were shaking too much so i wanted a camera wich is more heavy... and she is :) the canon 40d is a semi professional camera with 10,1 megapixel...she makes excellent pictures and the handling is much more better than on the 1000d...she has a high grade processed magnesium body wich gives a better protection against dust... additional she is having live view mode...i have the meaning: people who wanna look on a display while they shoot a picture better should buy a small digital camera and not a dslr...just my meaning :) theres just one thing i dont like on my 40d...thats the high colour noise... thats the only part where my 1000d was much better... but never i would give my 40d away anymore :) for me a truly excellent camera !!!

Why I bought a Canon EOS 40D from eBay
I had an EOS 400D before (actually still have). Its shutter broke down, so I started to look a new one, to see how big would be an investment for an upgrade. Found out that in my country 40D is a real hard to get :S. It must be a good camera. Now that I already got it, its faster, more accurate, and pictures look cleaner (less noise, sharper, better metering). But the best thing about this camera is speed. 6,3 fps is really handy in sport situations and shooting nature. Now i've also repaired my old camera and I have the best comparison of all times. I was shooting lighting at night and I set 30 seconds as shutter speed, F8, ISO 100 and took a shot. My 400d took at least the same time to process the image data and write it to the card (so it was busy at least 30 seconds after taking the ... I had an EOS 400D before (actually still have). EOS 40D is more proffessional and I'm totally satisfied with my purchase. It is as described in the advert. It has done even less shots than the seller said. It looks like a new one. It wasn't the first photography-related purchase and it won't be the last one on eBay.

Excellent build, great price.
This is a very good value camera right now. It takes great sharp pictures and is made of metal alloy. Simply a work horse for everyone for a price of a compact.
