Great image quality, very small compare to other medium format cameras, pretty solid and reliable system. I had problem with the focusing system but Nippon NYC repaired it (rangefinder adjustment) for $130 and it works like new now. Now it's sharper then any of my Hassys and it fits to the pocket of my jacket.

You can keep the Mamiya 7. This is a better camera with more character and a faster lens. I could talk for an hour about this camera. It’s the most fun ever.

I'm happy to have this camera. The bokeh is really beautiful. It's compact for a 6x7 and the lens is really sharp.

To me, this is the optimal 6x7 camera. It's very easy to handle and features great build quality. The lens, a Nikkor 80mm f2.8, is superb for many types of photography, as any fast normal lens is. Further more, the option to fold the bellows into the body makes the Plaubel very easy to bring anywhere. The viewfinder is big, bright. The brightlines have rounded corners, so they don't feel 100% accurate to use, but still makes for good framing. The light meter is the inherent weak spot: the cables from the lens to the light meter easily break or stop functioning properly, resulting in inaccurate metering or sometimes a completely unfunctioning meter.
