    Buy it! It's a gr8 film/DVD!!

    For those of you wanting the bottom line first, it's a gr8 DVD. Excellent quality, sound, color, etc., quick delivery, all in all a very satisfactory purchase. Now, for the rest of us, let me wax poetic for a few. Imagine being an impressionable teenager in the summer of (I think) 1957 or 8, on vacation in Santa Cruz, California. South Pacific was playing at the local theatre and I couldn't wait to go! Such music!! Such color!! Such romance!! Such Fun!! Mitzi Gaynor was wonderful. Rossano Brazzi - such a voice, his hair - he's Italian - OMG!! I watched another version of this great Rogers & Hammerstein film with the Brazzi part played by a guy with very expressive eyes, but bearing a striking resemblence to Charles Manson.... Anyway, THIS DVD was the "original" and took me back ...

    Great movie to enjoy over and over!

    I remember this musical from years ago and wanted to watch it again, now that I have more time because of the social distancing restrictions. The music is phenomenal! Even after all these years, the technology of the aerial scenes is still impressive! It is a long movie, but well worth the time!
