Top 50 Most Popular Modern Coins, short, sweet, informative and inexpensive
I collect coins and believe it or not, not too many modern issues. The book introduced me to some of the rarites of the modern issue coins that don't cost an arm and a leg to obtain. Yes some may be out of my budget like some of the gold pieces, but Ebay is a great avenue to obtain these very same pieces at a lower price if you look and wait and don't buy the first one you see. The book is short and to the point with alot of data about the pieces it contains. For instance, the 2007 George Washington Dollar with no edge lettering. Prices are given as a estimated retail value guide line, mintage, designer, diameter, weight, composition, AGW, and edge type are listed. The only drawback that I see with the book is now I have or want to start another collection of these coins. The higest cost ... I collect coins and believe it or not, not too many modern issues. I wont be able to afford this one unless I win the Lottery but there are a lot of others that are more affordable. The thing I like most about the book is that it is not long and a very good reference if your going to start a collection of Moderns. Well worth the money.

I bought this product specifically to get an appreciation of the collectability of coins from 1986 to this year.Coin Collecting has realized a few peaks and valleys in the past 25 years and to get a product that deals only with coins from this period using popularity,scarcity and affordabilty is much needed.Finally getting estimated retail values/comparisons of ms69/70 ,along with calculating an overall score is extremely useful.I bought this product specifically to get an appreciation of the collectability of coins from 1986 to this year.Coin Collecting has realized a few peaks and valleys in the past 25 years and to get a product that deals only with coins from this period using popularity,scarcity and affordabilty is much needed.Finally getting estimated retail values/comparisons of ms69/70 ,along with calculating an overall score is extremely useful.

HANDY COIN REFERENCE at a GLANCE
This book is a well thought out and layed out book, with nice photos and charts. It has all the information that one would need while collecting the most desirable modern US coins. There are two minor issues that I hope they will change for the next edition. First, I wish that the decriptive pages had larger and bolder print that could easily be read by older collectors. That's why we like LARGE modern coins. Also, since the book is strictly dedicated to US coins, then please look into having the book printed in the Good Ol USA !This book is a well thought out and layed out book, with nice photos and charts. It has all the information that one would need while collecting the most desirable modern US coins. There are two minor issues that I hope they will change for the next edition. A very useful book that complements Mr. Jordan’s other work. Well organized and a quick reference. This is a quick look into modern US coins and the future of the collecting market. I really like the organization and it makes a quick reference after the 2nd or 3rd read. The book is an easy read with alot of information between the covers. I keep it close at hand so I can look at the mintage figures and ratings whenever I want to do research.A very useful book that complements Mr. Jordan’s other work. GOOD GUIDE TO MODERN COIN INVESTING
This book is a great guide for a beginner to a seasoned collector to use to prioritize the spending of their modern coin dollar. It is very easy to end up almost using a shotgun aproach to spending your collecting dollar for U.S. modern coins. This book focuses your investment for a maximum return that you likely would NEVER achieve left to your own deviced .
