About this product

Product Information

Carrie and Gerald Domitz, authors of the "Encyclopedia of Paden City Glass, have produced a new book, this time dedicated to glass made by the Fenton Art Glass Company. Fenton made glass for companies such as L.G. Wright, De Vilbiss, A & A Sales, Beth Weissman, Edward Paul, Farber Bros., Kreske, Sears, Wrisley, AT & T, Kosercheck Bros., Duarte, Marshall Fields, Fred Meyer, Rainbow Art, RedCliff, and many others. This special order business began shortly after the factory opened and still continues today. This book contains information and approximately 1,600 photographs, listings, and values for the complete span of that business. Catalog reprints are also included, which add insight for readers.

Arrived in perfect condition. I appreciate the seller using a portion of the sale price for charity. I purchased these beanie babies to pack in Samaritans Purse shoeboxes, so they will actually be benefiting 2 charitable causes.

  • Superb reference work for early Fenton glassware.

This hardcover, full-color, 416 page guide belongs on the bookshelf of every serious glassware collector. It is indispensable for identification and determining value of the beautiful pieces that were made by Fenton in the early years, and sold by other companies from 1907 to 1980. Most of the pieces shown in this book are NOT properly identified in those books available for the companies which sold them, and do not give the detail on them that is included here. There are many surprises in this book about companies who sold Fenton products, which were identified as their own creations. The color photographs in this book are clear and detailed, showing every nuance of Fentons fine work. Included is production information, and guide to the value of these pieces. This is most important ...

  • Impressive Book on Fenton Glass!

I am very impressed with this book! It was nicely written, shows a large number of examples of Fenton's glass that was produced for other companies. All but a tiny handful of the pictures are in full color, and the few that are in black and white were reprints from an old catalog. Photos are all bright and clearly show patterns. Values are listed in the book - some are next to or underneath the pictures, while others are listed within the section. I found it easy to find what I was looking for, and a delight to browse through. I was more than pleased with the vast section on glass made for L. G. Wright. Other companies included are: A & A Sales/Import, Alice Minster, Nathan Lagin & Edna Kantor Miniature Lamps, DeVilbiss, Duarte Ceramics, Edward Paul Company, Evora Smiley, Farber Bros., ...

  • Comprehensive Glass Reference in a Class of Its Own!

This is a wonderful and comprehensive reference for both dealers and collectors of Fenton and other fine glass. If you ever have had glass that you think MIGHT be Fenton but you are not sure, the answer may be here. (I found a few of my own pieces in the book!) The book covers glass not found in any other reference I have found. This book is beautifully illustrated in rich color photographs and annotated with identifying information. You will be pleased with this well researched and organized volume! As a companion to your collection or a reference for your business, it is an asset you will reach for on a regular basis.
