I'm no expert but my boyfriend is and he loves it. There is every single game you could ever realistically conceive of. A huge selection. The graphics are great and it plays brilliant. Apparently a certain game (spaceships shooting each other) usually becomes really laggy when more ships appear and according to my boyfriend this doesn't happen on the emulator so that's good! Sorry for the lack of technical knowledge but all I know is that I have barely seen my boyf since Christmas Day and when I do he looks very happy so thankyou!

Great product, fantastic price. Old XBox games are still great fun to play and can be bought for pennies rather than pounds.
a good value for money product which one of my grandchildren is over the moon about, the deal went exactly as we agreed and were both happy with the outcome.
Remember this may be an old unit no longer supported by microsoft .But its more than that these days . I bought mine from ebay upgraded the hard drive and have installed xbmc . I can now stream in my house emulate even older systems and no longer worry about my 360 not playing my old games anymore . Grab a bargain google softmods no need for soldering. You can even run two types of operating systems on this unit if you want . When Microsoft designed this unit it was based on pc hardware get around the bios and the world is your oyster
In 1998 four engineers from Microsoft’s DirectX team, Kevin Bachus, Seamus Blackley, Ted Hase and DirectX team leader Otto Berkes, disassembled some Dell laptop computers to construct a prototype Microsoft Windows-based video game console. The team hoped to create a console to compete with the Sony PlayStation 2, which was luring game developers away from the Windows platform. The team approached Ed Fries, the leader of Microsoft’s game publishing business at the time, and pitched their “DirectX Box” console based on the DirectX graphics technology developed by Berkes’ team. Fries decided to support the team’s idea of creating a Windows DirectX based console.[5][6] During development, the original DirectX box name was shortened to Xbox. Microsoft’s marketing department did not like the Xbox name, and suggested many alternatives. During focus testing, the Xbox name was left on the list of possible names to demonstrate how unpopular the Xbox name would be with consumers. However, consumer testing revealed that Xbox was preferred by far over the other suggested names and “Xbox” became the official name of the product.[7] The Xbox was Microsoft's first video game console after collaborating with Sega to port Windows CE to the Dreamcast console. Microsoft repeatedly delayed the console, which was first mentioned publicly in late 1999 during interviews with then-Microsoft CEO Bill Gates. Gates stated that a gaming/multimedia device was essential for multimedia convergence in the new times.[8] When Bill Gates unveiled the Xbox at the Game Developers Conference in 2000, audiences were impressed by the console's technology. At the time of Gates' announcement, Sega's Dreamcast sales were diminishing and Sony's PlayStation 2 was just going on sale in Japan.[9] Concentrating on making a big splash in Japan, Microsoft delayed its European launch, though Europe later proved to be the more receptive market.[9] Some of Microsoft's plans proved effective. In preparation for its launch, Microsoft acquired Bungie and used Halo: Combat Evolved as its launch title. At the time, GoldenEye 007 for Nintendo 64 had been one of the few hit FPS games to appear on a console, some of other ones being Perfect Dark and Medal of Honor. Halo: Combat Evolved proved a good application to drive the Xbox's sales.[9] In 2002, Microsoft overtook Nintendo to capture the second place slot in consoles sold in North America. Popular launch games for the console included Dead or Alive 3, Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding, Halo: Combat Evolved, Fuzion Frenzy, Project Gotham Racing and Jet Set Radio Future.Read full review
I bought this product for myself. It in my opinion is a very good gaming console. I still own one now. The overall gameplay is genuinely entertaining. There is only one problem and that is the quality of gameplay, but I sorted that out and I got a 3rd party Xbox HDMI Cable and started playing all of my games in hd :)Most of the Xbox games are rubbish. the good ones are Halo, Halo 2, Need for Speed Underground 2, Soul Calibur 2. Those are the top 4 games that I like on the xbox console. The xbox 360 is a big improvement though. The controllers are more light weight, the grip is more comfortable, there are no wires trailing from console. The best thing about this xbox is that you can install a Xecuter 2.6 Modchip inside the console so that you can mod your xbox menu to a skil that you prefer. The games are good and they are worth playing. I got a bit bored of playing on the xbox so now its a game for my kids. BY THE WAY. IF YOU WANT A BETTER XBOX SEARCH UP XBMC ON EBAY AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY ORIGINAL XBOX CONSOLES.Read full review
