    Sennheiser ME2 mic

    Like using the ME2 mics because they are amazingly durable and have an all around decent sound for most applications. These mics tend to sound fairly mid range like but can be played with a little in post production to help bring out a bit more tonal range.

    A good price for a good microphone

    This is an excellent microphone. Normally a little pricey. Due to its size the microphone is easily broken. The normal failure points are at the base of the microphone element and at the top of the connector. These are the failure points for the cable. The connector is easy to replace with an aftermarket connector with the locking ring. Repair of the cable at the microphone element is possible with a lot of skill. The frequency response is excellent. This microphone was bought to replace another that was unrepairable. Other less expensive brands of microphones are useable as a replacement, but, the microphone element is usually larger for a microphone of equal frequency response. For a replacement that is the same size and frequency response the price is similar.

    Sennheiser ME2 Condenser Wireless / Cable Professional

    Great for wireless lapel (Speech) or instrument (acoustic) applications. I use mine with a Line6 wireless receiver system made for electric amplified systems...it works GREAT!! Pros: Great versatility, full range frequency response; and great feedback rejection (even on a fully monitored stage) when used with the optional windscreen(s). Cons: I cannot think of any right now...

    Best bang for your buck. Great sound!

    Working with wireless mics almost on a daily basis, I have to say that the Sennheiser series mics never fall short of sound great. The ME2 especially is perfect for ENG type of recordings. When on a budget, these are great mics to have on standby.
