Sure it sprawls a bit, and the various cast members turn up in multiple roles its best you know this before sitting down to consume it in the 3 hours its on, I know it sounds long, but actually Lindsay Anderson direction, the superb Malcolm McDowell, and a host of splendid supporting members make this a joy from beginning to end, plus the songs by Jarrow born singer songwriter Alan Price are great too. It's great like a softer Clockwork Orange, and also an epic piece of English cinema. Its like Homers odyssey, but with a coffee salesman who gets himself up-to all manner of palaver.
