    From one survivor to another!!

    I also lived through Hurricane Katrina but I was in Gulfport, MS. I lived in my home that was over 220 years old. My town was erased. Many times I had to put this book down because it brought back so many memories. But, the book was amazing and I just want the Author to know that I apologize for the way he was treated after the storm. I really thought New Orleans was one of the most open, acceptable cities in the United States, but obviously there are still people who can not appreciate God's gift in making us all different. I loved the words and hope others who read this book keep in mind that so many people are homeless in this country and we need to practice our humanity daily! Please read it then pass it on!!

    The description of the product says that the condition of the book is good, but in reality its condition is EXCELLENT. The book does not have any notes, highlighted areas,or torn pages in in it. It looks just like a new book!

    Don’t judge the book by its cover!

    Really! The cover misled me for so long. But LOVED the book. If you liked Treme or Spike Lee’s documentary about New Orleans after Katrina you’ll love this book.

    This was an intriguing book and I really liked it.

    I just loved this book. I could not believe how Mr. Zeitoun, a long time resident of New Orleans, could have been treated the way he was by the authorities after Katrina.
